Alamo Beer Co. is partnered with San Antonio Brahmas and Ivanhoe Park Brewing Co. with Orlando Guardians.

With the same sense of community that the XFL has brought to the sports industry, the craft brewers that have gone into partnerships with their respective XFL teams have taken the competition to a new level. Alamo Beer Co. and Ivanhoe Park Brewing Co. are getting into the XFL season with a friendly wager for the upcoming game on Sunday February 26th when the San Antonio Brahmas take on the Orlando Guardians at the first home game of the season for the Orlando Guardians at Camping World Stadium.

Eugene Simor, Founder and CEO of Alamo Beer Co., and Glenn Closson, Founder and CEO of Ivanhoe Park Brewing Co., are showing their real support of their team and partnership by making a friendly beer bet. With Alamo Beer Co.’s Brahmas Alamo Original Golden and Ivanhoe Park Brewing Co.’s Orlando Guardians Florida Ale at the ready, one of them will be having to enjoy the other’s XFL branded beer, while wearing the other team’s colors, if their home team loses at Sunday’s game.

Alamo Beer Company, a craft brewery and beer hall located in downtown, San Antonio, has been in similar partnership with the San Antonio Brahmas. Ivanhoe Park Brewing Company, an independent craft brewery and tasting room in Orlando, Fla. has signed into agreement with Orlando Guardians, as their official and exclusive craft beer partner earlier this year. Both owners, in the spirit of community that craft brewers share, have decided to make this friendly bet.

“Continuing in our Commitment to Community, we are excited to partner with the XFL and welcome back professional football in our communities,” CEO and Founder of Ivanhoe Park Brewing, Glenn Closson said.

“Being a part of the inaugural season of the San Antonio Brahmas is an honor and we hope to represent them well,” remarked Eugene Simor, CEO and Founder of Alamo Beer Co. “Craft brewing has had a long tradition of community involvement and what better way to have fun than making a friendly wager with beer across the country?”

The Alamo Beer Hall in San Antonio is hosting a watch party on Sunday, February 26th to view The Orlando Guardians home opener where Ivanhoe Park Brewing will be launching its beer in Orlando. The two breweries will be watching closely as to see which owner must “shotgun” the loser’s beer in front of all to see, including on social media.
